The hand-held DeStat II (now with a rechargeable internal battery) is small, efficient, and incredibly easy to use as it removes dust and static charge from audio/ video media with a 10 second treatment. High performance enthusiasts know that static charges on analog and optical media (LPs, CDs and DVDs) can lead to distracting noise and compromised sound. Simply hold the Destat II over your media of choice and press one button! The fan removes dust while the Destat’s Balanced Ion Flow Generator releases just the right balance of positive and negative ions, eliminating static. Almost every system component can benefit from eliminating its static charge. Use the Destat II to remove static from the audio/video equipment itself (best to turn them off during treatment), power cords, line-level interconnects, speaker cables, and metal record clamps. Some household items may even benefit from static charge removal. And there’s a safety circuit preventing shock from the Balanced Ion Flow Generator. Now manufactured by Furutech in their factory.
The Destat II’s improved Ion Flow Generator now features 4 emitters that simultaneously generate static-eliminating ions as opposed to the previous model’s 2-emitter alternating method, and contains a safety circuit that prevents any small shocks from the Balanced Ion Flow Generator.
The Destat II from the geniuses at Furutech is my kind of accessory. It will change the way you listen to music from day one. This is the very best audiophile accessory under $500 I have ever heard of. My highest recommendation! ---- Robert H Levi, Positive Feedback Online
The original Destat garnered much praise, Michael Fremer declaring, “It really worked as promised … the Destat does the job in grand style.” Reviewer John Crossett says, “I can’t imagine living without it now that I’ve heard the improvement it can bring.”
